Daniel and Jessica Hill-Wedding

So I was just sitting here going through my pictures and I realized that Jessica and Daniel's wedding photos were still on my computer. I have not moved them to my external hard drive yet. Then I realized that 'Hey I haven't blogged about it yet!'
Sorry Jess. :) Here ya go. <3

So here it is. The big day. After all the engagement and bridal post, Here it is...The WEDDING!!! YAY!!!

The day started off like any other wedding day for me. I got up, quite early may I add, got ready, and got myself to Warren. I was more then excited about this particular wedding though. This wedding was for my cousin and one of my best friend's, Jessica. Even though we don't get to see each other often and we don't always talk on the phone, she's still one of my best friends.

Anyway, I got to the salon and waited til Jess got there. She got there and things got rolling. Ya know, hair, make-up, all that good stuff.

The girls there at the salon made Jessica a beautiful bride. But in my opinion you can't make her any more beautiful than she already is. But she was the picture of perfection that day. After hair and make-up, it was time for the dress to be put on. For jewelry she wore simple things. It was all very very pretty. And it all screamed, JESSICA!!!

Before I got into photography, I thought the bride and groom seeing each other before the actual ceremony to get pictures done was absolutely insane. I mean weren't they supposed to wait?! Didn't this ruin the surprise?! In my mind yes, it did. But since I've started this, I understood this. You get more personal pictures because you have more time with the bride and groom and you don't have all the people standing around watching. Jessica and Daniel opted for this route. And I believe we got some great photos. The surprise was still there. They had time together alone. Even I disappeared for a while so they could say what they felt like they needed to say with no one around. It was amazing.

And then it was time for the real thing.

It was a beautiful day and I wish the best for Jessica and Daniel. I love them both and they have only made each other's life better. :)

Packing and whatnot...

Uggggg, I cannot express how MUCH I hate packing. The definition of hate is to have complete lack of love for something and that's exactly how I feel about packing. But I do indeed have to do it to move into the new house, which is almost ready by the way. The carpet guy started last night and should be done by tomorrow. :) Even with the packing I need to get done, this makes me happy. But back to the packing. I haven't done anything and we are supposed to more week after next. I'm kinda starting to feel the pressure.
The pictures in this post are before pictures, and I will soon post after. They will be side by side with the before pictures.

Living room and Dining room

So since we found out we could move in, I've been working almost non-stop to make that happen. Ben's schedule has been crazy and we haven't had the electricity turned on yet. That means right as he's getting off work, it's time to get dark. He hasn't really been able to help me at all. I've been calling the house my baby for that reason. But he does what he can when he can. I think I've painted almost every wall in that house though. But it's definitely a labor of love.

When we first started I could just picture the living room and dining room in a beautiful rustic barn red with white trim. I brought it up to Ben and I was turned down pretty fast. So then I started looking at the kitchen and I decided it would look great in there. I knew it was a smaller room, but I wanted a red room somewhere in the house so bad. But again I was turned down by Benjamin. When we first started painting, we hadn't planned to do anything to our room, because we were trying to focus all of our attention on the rest of the house. But one day while I was at the hardware store, I thought to myself, 'Ya know, I want a red room and I'm gonna get it!' I bought 2 gallons of rustic red I wanted and just started painting the room when I got home. I know, you are wondering what Ben thought when he saw it. He wasn't happy at first, but he got over it and admitted he liked it. And now I have my red room. I still have to paint the trim in there, but it already looks amazing. I have always thought it's just amazing what a couple coats of paint will do for a room.

We have gone with a pretty blue for the living room, dining room, the hall way and the bathroom. The boys' room is an army green and blue. Maci's room is a bubblegum pink and white, and as I said before my room is barn red and white. And the kitchen is a sage green to match a border that's up. It's all coming together nicely. Stay tuned for after pictures. :)

What's going on with us???

Right now business is so very slow. So slow that I have resorted to taking pictures of my kids toys. Yes that slow. I'm itching to get behind the lens and capture some beautiful faces. :)

We recently went on a mini-vacation to Oklahoma to see Ben's family and we had such a great time. My 30th birthday was in the beginning of January, so Ben's mom treated me to a girl's day. I got a pedicure, a new dress, a great new pair of candy apple red shoes, and it was amazing. I felt like it was a movie. The kids got to spend some good quality time with their grandparents as well as Ben spending time with his parents and brother. I didn't want to come back. But alas we had to, for duty called.

We have also gotten a new puppy. His name is Kevin,(Yes, I know weird name for a dog), and he is a short-haired dachshund. He is a mess and so much fun. He's hyper and likes to lick everything!

I do have a bit of fantastic, amazing, great...Well I could go on all day with the adjectives, but I'll just get to the point. We live in a place that could be considered not so great. The ONLY reason we're are in this apartment is because the job pays for it. Ben's job that is. Most people would say, 'Free living, and you want to move?!' Well yes we do. Free living maybe, but it comes with it's down side. Some of the activity that goes on is questionable. And I never get to take my kids out to play because I just feel like it's not safe enough. We've been saying for a while now that we want to get out of these apartments, but we didn't see an open door OR window. So I just kept waiting on the right time. A little while ago an incident happened with me and the management of the complex. I won't go into detail because that's not what this post is about, but it was enough to make me very serious about getting out of here. I called Ben and told him we were moving and I was going to start looking Monday. I knew of a house that no one lived in, in town, and I asked Ben if we could rent it. He said it was only for sale. I put it out of my mind because I didn't think we were in the position to buy. But God always knows better than we do.
The next day I went to pick Carter up from school and I thought about driving by it and but decided not to. I didn't want to torture myself like that. But not to much longer after that Ben called me and told me to go look at it. "Ummmmm, sure", is what I said. Long story short, we applied for the loan to get it and now we are buying a HOUSE!!!! I will post pictures soon when we start working on it. It's got few things that need to be fixed but over all, it's in great condition.

Another thing that has happened to us since I last wrote, is that we have decided to have one last and final baby. It was a crazy fast decision. No I'm not pregnant yet, but hopefully I will be soon. I look forward to fixing up our house and bringing home a new baby. It's gonna be amazing and I just have to say this is a great time in our lives. God is so amazing. Just when we think we are doing ok, He show's us how much better we can be in Him.

Marci and Phillip

I check my work email every day. Some days there's nothing and other days there's a few spam emails. One day back in September I opened it up and much to my surprise and delight I had an email about an actual photo shoot and not one trying to get me to buy something. Then of course the thought entered my mind that maybe this really WAS spam and maybe I really SHOULDN'T open this particular one. But then I thought, 'I'm just gonna take my chances and see what happens.' I'm glad I did. It was an email from Marci telling me she wanted pictures of she and her boyfriend, Phillip. So we exchanged a few letters and came to the date of December 5th. So after a couple months of waiting, the date finally arrived.

Marci and Phillip were a very pleasant couple and we all had a great time. Marci is from my home town and Phillip, the next town over, but for some dumb reason I kept asking her if she knew where the next location or a certain restaurant was. I don't know why. I guess I was having an off day. But they were both great sports and didn't get irritated with me, or they didn't show it at least, if they did. :)
