Uggggg, I cannot express how MUCH I hate packing. The definition of hate is to have complete lack of love for something and that's exactly how I feel about packing. But I do indeed have to do it to move into the new house, which is almost ready by the way. The carpet guy started last night and should be done by tomorrow. :) Even with the packing I need to get done, this makes me happy. But back to the packing. I haven't done anything and we are supposed to more week after next. I'm kinda starting to feel the pressure.
The pictures in this post are before pictures, and I will soon post after. They will be side by side with the before pictures.

So since we found out we could move in, I've been working almost non-stop to make that happen. Ben's schedule has been crazy and we haven't had the electricity turned on yet. That means right as he's getting off work, it's time to get dark. He hasn't really been able to help me at all. I've been calling the house my baby for that reason. But he does what he can when he can. I think I've painted almost every wall in that house though. But it's definitely a labor of love.
When we first started I could just picture the living room and dining room in a beautiful rustic barn red with white trim. I brought it up to Ben and I was turned down pretty fast. So then I started looking at the kitchen and I decided it would look great in there. I knew it was a smaller room, but I wanted a red room somewhere in the house so bad. But again I was turned down by Benjamin. When we first started painting, we hadn't planned to do anything to our room, because we were trying to focus all of our attention on the rest of the house. But one day while I was at the hardware store, I thought to myself, 'Ya know, I want a red room and I'm gonna get it!' I bought 2 gallons of rustic red I wanted and just started painting the room when I got home. I know, you are wondering what Ben thought when he saw it. He wasn't happy at first, but he got over it and admitted he liked it. And now I have my red room. I still have to paint the trim in there, but it already looks amazing. I have always thought it's just amazing what a couple coats of paint will do for a room.
We have gone with a pretty blue for the living room, dining room, the hall way and the bathroom. The boys' room is an army green and blue. Maci's room is a bubblegum pink and white, and as I said before my room is barn red and white. And the kitchen is a sage green to match a border that's up. It's all coming together nicely. Stay tuned for after pictures. :)
