Amanda Harrod and Blake Gilbert-Engagement Session

I've been so horrible at keeping my blog lately and I think that may be due to the fact that I've only got one follower. Maybe soon that will increase seeing as how I put a link on my website, www.jpoolephotography.com. Anyway, to the blogging.
Back in May I was sitting in my recliner watching T.V. and my phone rang. It was Amanda and she went on to explain to me that she and her fiancee' Blake were scheduled to get some engagement pictures taken, but they didn't have anyone to do them all of the sudden, so I was asked to do their photos. Of course I agreed!! I was very excited that I was being asked and gladly accepted. The date, June, and the place, Heber Springs. I was delighted to hear that because I love to travel. A month later, Becky, Amanda's Aunt, picked me up and we were off. We got there and I met Blake's parents. I must say, great people. Very warm and welcoming.
We started taking pictures at their cabin, which is on the Little Red River. They're dog, Max, also joined them in some of their photos.

Next the family took me to a beautiful spot. It included a freezing cold flowing creek and a system of small waterfalls. It has to be by far the best place I've gotten to take pictures.

The next place I was taken was a beautiful lake. Amanda and Blake had originally chosen the beach for the wedding, but due to the oil spill it didn't happen that way. So this is why we had them sitting on the firey hot sand. And boy was it ever. In that picture they look like they are just fine, but I think that their rear ends were burning OFF! I know my feet were pretty burned after a couple shots. They are total troopers for sitting in it.

And the last place was downtown Heber Springs. I think by this point they were ready to be done. We'd been shooting for a while, but like I said before they were great to work with and a blast!

And finally toasting to the end of a great day. :)
