About a month ago, I got a call from my cousin and someone who I consider a sister, Jessica. She had terrific news. She had just gotten engaged!!! I was soooo excited for her. She has been through so much in the past 3 years and she has been amazing through it all. She asked me if I would do everything picture-wise, for her wedding. I checked my schedule and I was free for all of it! I was more then excited, I was ecstatic!!! I couldn't wait to get started. The first event she and Daniel had coming up was the engagement party. Not only was I glad to be getting to do her party, but it was also a family event so I was gonna get to see family members. I'm a big family person.
The theme of the party was "Love is so Sweet." Her menu was all sweet stuff and she let people know to eat lunch because she wasn't serving any. I think everyone was happy with the menu. I know my kids were.
Everyone that Jessica and Daniel love were there, minus a few people. But over all we had a great time.
The shot above shows that there was a ton of laughing and goofing off.
Carter, my little boy, thoroughly enjoyed his ice cream.
They also had a photo that everyone could sign
We got photos of the bridesmaids that day too, along with some informal, formal photos with the families.

Amanda Harrod-Bridal Session
Amanda's bridal session was the first one I've gotten to do since June of 2009. I have to say I'm pleased with these pictures more then I am with my last results, (sorry Jessica). It wasn't the bride in the last pictures, it was my lack of experience and knowledge. I'll be the first to admit that I didn't know quite at much then as I do now. And I am constantly learning. I know that in a couple of years my pictures will look even better. But back to Amanda.
We got to shoot at the Alan House in Monticello. I've seen pictures done there, but had never gotten to shoot there. I was excited about getting to shoot in a new place but nervous just for that reason, it was new. I did research online and got to see pictures inside of the house. There was a great staircase and a fantastic library and some awesome windows. The outside of the house was pretty good in the front. We also shot around Monticello. Overall we got some amazing shots and I know that I'll always use this bridal session for examples. So enjoy the next few photos.
