My first 2 weeks...

So a few days before I opened I decided at the last minute to have an opening special. It seems like I am always doing stuff last minute. I've always been like that. One time I went on a trip to Astro-World with my church and yes I packed 2 hours before I had to leave. That's just me. Except when it comes to my work. That I am always on top of.
Back to the main topic. My opening special. I decided to go with 30 minute mini-sessions for $25.00 and give each client a free 8x10. I thought it went pretty well for advertising last minute. I had a few the first week and a few the second week. Some kiddo's and some babies and even a small engagement session. It's been a great experience so far and I can't wait for more. :)

I promise there will be many many more things to come and I can't wait!!

Where in the world have you been???

I know what you are thinking. "Where in the world have you been?" I have been so busy that I have neglected my blog and for that I am truly sorry. So much has happened since I last wrote. I have opened a studio!
I honestly didn't think it would happen for a while. And when I say a while, I mean 5+ years. But God opened the door and I stepped through. I'll start at the beginning.
I was sitting at my house doing my normal stuff and my phone rang. On the other end was my friend, Tonia. She asked me if I wanted to put in a studio in a place that has just become available. Of course I wanted to, but I was kind of hesitant. It's a scary step and I knew it was gonna take all the faith I had to make that step. I told her I would definitely think about it and get back to her. I took a day or so to pray about it and talk to Ben about it. I felt complete peace about it so I went and talked to the shop owner and worked everything out. I was so excited. It seemed my dream was unfolding.
I am now in my studio and have been here for a few weeks and I am loving it. I got all of my equipment ordered and set up and it's been going great. Right now my goal is to make enough money to pay for rent and gas. And so far, so good. I just paid my second month in rent today and it felt great! I have been shooting away since I got here and I have so much new stuff to blog about. Babies, toddlers and little children are on the agenda next. Not to mention photos I shot before I moved here and haven't blogged yet. So yes, I have alot of work before me, but it will all get done. And it also seems that editing photos is keeping me busy here lately and before I know it, it's 5 o'clock and I have to go home. So stay tuned and keep up because there's gonna be alot to look at! :)
