I'm trying to catch up on my blogging and I'm so far behind so you are getting more than one post in a night.
This post is about the Thornton family. I first met Aaron when Ben and I were dating. That was almost ten years ago. Since then he has gotten married and had a couple of kids, which are absolute cuties. His wife's name is Kayla and I find that she and I get along great. I hope that we all get to spend more time together in the future.
I thought this session turned out very well and hopefully I will get to photograph them in the future. You guys are beautiful!!

Summer and Dusty
I've blogged about Summer before. She's basically a sister-in-law and she likes the benefits of having a photographer in the family. Then again if I were 15 and someone didn't mind taking my pictures all the time, I would love it too. :)
This time it wasn't just her though. This time she asked me to take pictures of she and her boyfriend, Dusty. I think these two make a cute couple and I really believe he is good for her. Summer, be good to this one.
The picture above to the left is my favorite from the whole day. It's a natural smile and laugh from both of them.

Babies, babies, babies-Jackson and Jacob Drye
Because I haven't been shooting that long, 2 1/2 years to be exact, I haven't had many opportunities to take newborn photos. None to be exact. None until this one. I had the privilege to take pictures of some cute, precious, tiny twin baby boys. They were so cute.
I've read that newborn shoots are tougher than other shoots. That's not wrong. It was tougher. I was so sweaty by the time we gone done. And there was A LOT of waiting. The shoot took place over 2 sessions. The first session that we did, Jackson and Jacob didn't want to cooperate. So I just decided to go to their house so maybe they would be more comfortable. I didn't mind at all because babies can be unpredictable and you work on THEIR terms.
To their house I went. Things were much better this time. They had just been fed when I got there and we had a good time. I learned a lot and I can't wait until my next newborn shoot. And all that waiting paid off because I was very happy with the results.
I love little babies and I'm hoping that my future is full of baby photo sessions!
