Spirit and Josh

May 29th I got to take photos of Spirit Hays and Josh Etheridge. This was my first wedding to go solo. Well really my second, but my first since I really started to learn anything about my camera. I loved getting to do it. I had such a good time. The wedding was set for 12:00 so I got there around 9:45. When I got there make-up was being applied, hair being done, ya know the normal stuff being done before a wedding.
Then I got pictures of the dress and other details. I loved the dress. It was beautiful. It had a ton of detail and beading on the bodice. Very nice.

Then came the details of the wedding, like the wedding party, the food, and the family members.

Then of course the ceremony

Shelbi and Jared

I was asked a while ago by Shelbi Slone to take some family pictures of her and her family. Well unfortunately they were remodeling so I didn't get to get pictures of her mom, dad, and siblings, but I did get some of her and her boyfriend Jared.
I really don't have much to say about the whole time, except that we had a good time and it didn't take long at all. I'm just gonna post a few more. :) Enjoy!

Brittany and Bradley Sears- Rehearsal and Brunch

May 22 I got to see my cousin, Brittany get married. This seemed like it should not be happening because in my mind she should still be 5 years old screaming at my other cousin Dustin, hahaha. Anyway, her mom, Kelly, asked me a while ago to reserve that date so I could take the pictures for the rehearsal and bridal brunch. And I was like, "Of course I'll do it!" I hadn't been shooting long at the time so I was ecstatic.
I knew I was going to have a great time for 2 reasons. One-I was doing what I love, taking pictures, and two-I was going to be with family, which is ALWAYS a good time.

Brittany, the bride, and Bradley, the groom, showed up about 15 minutes late, but who is ever on time when it comes to anything to do with a wedding.

On the menu was some of the most fantastic BBQ I've had in a while. Along with the meat was some amazing potatoes, beans, out of the world coleslaw and delicious banana pudding. Oh darn, I'm getting hungry just sitting here typing this and if I'm making you hungry, I'm very sorry. :P

The decorations were beautiful. Lots and lots of colors. The theme was a country, down-home theme. It fit the couple to a T! Not only was the wedding party there, but lots and lots of family and friends. Everyone had a great time catching up and some even getting to know each other. Lots of great interaction from the soon to be blended family.

After we all got through with eating, it was time for the actual rehearsing. It was your typical "run-of-the-mill" rehearsal. It didn't last to long. I think they ran through it 2 times, and by the second time it ran very smoothly.

The next morning was the bridal brunch. It was the whole bridal party plus a few friends and extra family.

I have to say Brittany was a trooper for letting the world see her before hair and make-up were done. Most people wouldn't dream of having a photographer take pictures of them before it all begins. But I have to say, she is just as beautiful before the wedding as she was after. Thanks again for letting me be apart of your day.
