I check my work email every day. Some days there's nothing and other days there's a few spam emails. One day back in September I opened it up and much to my surprise and delight I had an email about an actual photo shoot and not one trying to get me to buy something. Then of course the thought entered my mind that maybe this really WAS spam and maybe I really SHOULDN'T open this particular one. But then I thought, 'I'm just gonna take my chances and see what happens.' I'm glad I did. It was an email from Marci telling me she wanted pictures of she and her boyfriend, Phillip. So we exchanged a few letters and came to the date of December 5th. So after a couple months of waiting, the date finally arrived.
Marci and Phillip were a very pleasant couple and we all had a great time. Marci is from my home town and Phillip, the next town over, but for some dumb reason I kept asking her if she knew where the next location or a certain restaurant was. I don't know why. I guess I was having an off day. But they were both great sports and didn't get irritated with me, or they didn't show it at least, if they did. :)

The Hensley Family
I'm still getting used to doing family photography, but I do love it. I got to shoot the Hensley family. They are a family from my home town and I had a great time with this photo shoot.
I had a great time with the Hensley family and hopefully get to shoot their next set of family photos.

Jessica Douglass-Bridals Part Deaux
Ok, it's for real this time. :) They are finally being posted. I have been way behind in blogging, (once again), but I'm trying to catch up so there might be a more than one post today. I'm not really gonna narrate in this post. I'm just gonna get to the point and post the pictures.

Sonya and Lee's wedding
About a month ago I got to be apart of Sonya and Lee's big day. This was very special to me because Sonya is like part of the family. I love getting to shoot family events. Not only do I get to do what I love to do, but I get to spend time with family. I started the day here like any other wedding photo shoot. At the salon with the bride and her friends and family.
This particular day a big Razorback game was on so the men that were there were very into the game, well Tiffany too, lol! I usually am into them too, but I was to busy watching for photo opps to really watch the game.
After the salon, same as always, it was time to get ready. These are always some of my favorite shots.
Checking out the dress for the final time.
And the happy couple after the ceremony

Jessica Douglass-Bridals
Nope, not yet! I probably fooled ya, but No I can't post them yet. We wouldn't want to take a chance on the groom seeing them, now would we??? :) I promise I will, however, post them very very soon. The wedding is only 2 weeks away so you don't have to wait long. Just know that I am very very very pleased with this set of photos.

Jessica and Daniel-Engagement
I have blogged about my cousin, Jessica, and her fiancee, Daniel, so I don't need to go through the story again.
But when Jessica told me what type of engagement pictures she wanted I was very excited. Her words were "modern and hippy". I was curious to see how the two combined were gonna come out. I have to say I am very pleased with the results. She had showed me some examples and I was going to do my best to give her what she wanted.
I found out from another photographer friend that she had a great antique love seat that she was more than willing to let me borrow for the day. I told Jessica about it, but I don't think she was really prepared for it. As soon as Daniel picked it up and showed her, she called me and was so high pitched because she looooooved it!! I was excited to see how we were gonna use it.
We basically just put the couch in the middle of a field and started shooting. I now can say I'm gonna buy a love seat similar to this and I'm gonna make sure it's red.
This post might be a bit longer than any normal post, but then again, I could be wrong.
I just LOVE the contrast between the red couch and the green grass.
After the field, we moved onto an old house that belonged to someone in Jessica's family. We drove for a while to get here, but it was well worth the drive.
There was an old barn there and I think I just might be in love with it. You just might see it pop up in future photos.
The next 2 are in two different places. Another old barn that was on the property, and then Jessica knew of another field. This field was different than the first because it was grown up with not only grass, but some yellow flowers. Fake maybe??? I'll never tell.
If you look closely, you can see the rain.
Then off to a local town to get some more "modern" pictures.
I just have to say, I love Daniel's face in the photo above. It's an "uh-oh, I just might be in trouble" look. Hehehe...
Ok, I love Jessica's face in this one. It's says, "I'm so in love..."
PS...I love feet pictures with a passion, but this is not to be confused with a feet fetish!
Now the next photo is strictly for comical effect. They are a hilarious couple and the next one shows that.
I had the best day with these two, and got to spend time with Jessica, who is basically my sister! She and Daniel are amazing people and I can't wait to do her bridals and their wedding.
