Where have I been???

I know.  That's what you have to be thinking.  Where have I been?  Well, I have been pretty busy with my family.  That's what takes up most of my time.  Since I last blogged so much has happened.  One huge thing in particular.  We had a healthy baby boy!!  We chose the name Liam Huck and we call him Huck.

This is him at 7 days.  We had been outside for about 5 minutes and he already was smiling.  His love for the outside started early.

Here he is 4 months.  You can see his personality really coming through.

And here at 9 months.  He is changing so much everyday and you can see it in these photos.

In the next few days, I will take time to post the story of the labor and delivery of Huck.  But for now, I'll just say how much of a blessing he is and I am thankful everyday for him.  We love him so much!

Until next time.

Baby oh Baby: Jessica's Maternity Shoot

I have done lots and lots of photography work for this next couple.  You have seen their faces on here before.  I've done their engagements sessions, (yes I said sessionS), her bridal session and their wedding.  Now comes one of the best parts.  Her maternity photos!!!  I love this one so much because, as I have mentioned before, she's family.  Like a sister.
I was so proud to photograph her beautiful family that's growing.  When Jessica married Daniel, she inherited a beautiful and well mannered little girl, Maggie.  Maggie and Jessica look like they should naturally be mother and daughter.  It's a delight to see them interact.  Jessica has done as much as she possibly could to make Maggie feel included in everything and to Maggie, Jessica is mom.  I love their relationship and it's one that every mother and step child should strive for.  Jessica is an amazing mother and role model for Maggie.  I know things aren't going to be any different for this new baby.
And I can't leave out Daniel.  He is an outstanding father and it shows through Maggie.  He is gonna be a fantastic dad of two!!!

I do have some sad news, however. You won't see any pictures of the new baby, as I've been asked not to put any online.  But that is okay.  It's Jessica's choice as a mom to make and I totally and completely respect her decision.  If she ever gives me the go-ahead, this will be one of the first places I post them.  Keep your eyes opened!

Zane and Cindy

A little while ago I was asked to do some family portraits/Sr. portraits.  But I found out when I got there that I would be taking some photos of Zane and his girlfriend.  And people, let me tell you, when Cindy, Zane's girlfriend, got in front of the camera, I didn't have to tell her to do anything.  It came naturally for her.  I will dedicate a post to her a little later.  They are a great couple and they have been together since 4th grade.  He is now a senior and she is a junior.  I'm curious to see if I will be shooting their wedding in the future. :)

Watch out for more of Cindy's photos.

Kids I love

Can I just say that I love these next kids like they are my own. It's because their momma's(yes I said momma's. I'm from Arkansas and have a slight slang.) are basically sisters to me. We kinda grew up together and I would do anything for them. Their kids are amazing and I feel privileged to get to see them grow up. Sophie McKinney~1 year photos

Sophie was my first "cake smash" session and I loved every second of it.  The first part of the session wasn't the actual cake smashing part.  First we got some clean, cute photos and then the cake smashing started.  She wasn't to sure of it at first.  The cake was cold and I don't think she like the temperature very much.  But then she realized that it was cake icing and it was very sweet, so she was more excited to dig in.

Kinley Franco

Kinley is a mess!  And not in a bad way, but in a funny, comical way.  She did really well with our photo shoot.  Her mom wanted photos of her just it had been a while since some were taken.  And I think she's very pretty and very photogenic.

I recently got to take photos of her baby sister, Annslee. Those are coming later.

Shoot for Haute Mess Online Fashion Magazine

I have seen a few fashion shoots on TV on shows such as "Scouted" on E! and I decided I had to dabble in that.  I love it!  And when I first got into photography, I didn't really think that at all.  Things change I guess.
I was really excited when I was asked to take some shots of some models wearing clothes from the Haute Mess.  For my first fashion shoot, I don't think I did to bad.  Of course there's always room for improvement.
